SS 304 grade resists corrosion better than SS 202 and is the safer default for most doors, especially anywhere near humidity or salt air. YEN's standard S.S. Hinges come in both grades from 75mm to 200mm, so the choice usually comes down to budget versus how much corrosion resistance the location actually needs; SS 316, available on the Ball Bearing range, goes a step further again.
S.S Ball Bearing Hinges are built for exactly that, with ball bearings inside for a smoother action under repeated use, in sizes from 100mm to 150mm and up to SS 316 grade for the highest corrosion resistance. A standard hinge without bearings still works, but tends to wear faster on a door opened dozens of times a day.
A butterfly flap hinge, available from 100mm to 125mm, is built for easier installation, useful when a door is being reworked rather than fitted from scratch. It still uses ball bearings for smoother action, the same as the heavier-duty Ball Bearing range, just in a more compact size.
